West Yellowstone at a Glance
West Yellowstone is located in Montana
near the border of Wyoming and
is known for its spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and myriad of outdoor
activities. Yellowstone
National Park was the first national park in the United
States, and all the park's attractions are easily accessible from West Yellowstone.
For a closer look at some of the local residents of Yellowstone National Park,
visit the Grizzly
and Wolf Discovery Center, an interpretive center that seeks to educate guests
with regards to wildlife in the area. A good base from which to explore the area,
West Yellowstone provides a number of accommodation choices, restaurants, shops
and more. Visitors are welcome year-round to enjoy some of the seasonal activities,
including snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter and hiking and biking
in the warmer months. For a journey through the area's past, visit Museum
of the Yellowstone.
