Welcome to West Yellowstone!
West Yellowstone is located in Montana near the border of Wyoming and is known for its spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and myriad of outdoor activities. Yellowstone National Park was the first national park in the United States, and all the park's attractions are easily accessible from West Yellowstone. For a closer look at some of the local residents of Yellowstone National Park, visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, an interpretive center that seeks to educate guests with regards to wildlife in the area. A good base from which to explore the area, West Yellowstone provides a number of accommodation choices, restaurants, shops and more. Visitors are welcome year-round to enjoy some of the seasonal activities, including snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter and hiking and biking in the warmer months.
